PROJECT

       "China's Move to Mass Higher Education: Implications for Civil Society and Global Cultural Dialogue" is a three-year research project sponsored by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRCC), starting from April 1, 2006. The project is led by principle investigator, Prof. Ruth Hayhoe at OISE/Univ. of Toronto. Prof. Jing Lin, Prof. Qiang Zha and Dr. Jun Li work together as main team members of the project. Dr. Christina Pinna and three graduate assistants also involve in the project actively. By the summer of 2007, the project team has finished their field work with six Chinese case universities and plans to finish the rest of field trips to other six case universities in the spring of 2008.

       In addition to the project team located in North America, the following thirteen Chiense researchers from twelve case universities are invited as collaborative scholars to join in the project:
